To ensure that we provide our readers with the necessary information We will continue to update you on all safety, travel and COVID-related developments that might affect the quality of a Disney Parks visit.
If you’re going to Disney World in 2022 or you’re thinking about booking a trip in 2022, you’re likely to be wondering how much of a part COVID can play in planning and executing that trip!
We’ve been to our parks more then a couple of times.
Disney World has gone through several guidelines for health and safety revisions since the park’s first opened at the end of summer 2000 Today, we’re going to go over the health and safety guidelines are for 2022.
One of the health measures which will have the greatest immediate effect on your trip is the the guidelines for face masks. The guidelines have undergone several changes in the past two years and one-half, therefore it’s crucial to keep up Disney World’s current guidelines.
At the time of writing, face masks are required for everyone from two years old and over indoors and on Disney’s vehicles regardless of the status of their vaccination. Face masks are not required for guests who are in common areas outdoors. Masks for face are also an option for Cast members who have been fully vaccinated who work in outdoor areas.
These signs are everywhere in the parks.
While the mandate for face masks continues to exist at Disney World, other health and safety measures have been lowered or eliminated completely in the past few months. Temperature tests have been discontinued within Disney World, and currently there isn’t a vaccine requirement for visitors who wish to visit the parks.

Social Distancing and Park Capacity
Another safety and health measure that had a significant impact on the experience of guests in the beginning of the park’s phased reopening is Social distancing policies and the overall capacity of the parks. When Disney World first opened, the capacity was extremely small with markings of six feet for social distancing in the resorts, parks as well as the resorts, and Disney Springs.

In the present it is evident the official social distancing has been somewhat removed. Disney World also announced earlier in 2021 that the capacity of their parks will gradually increase with time as the parks look increasingly like their pre-pandemic state over the last few weeks. With the return of more entertainment at the Disney World parks by 2022 the signs are that Disney World is continuing to loosen their rules on social distancing further.
Fireworks Crowds in October 2021
It is possible to see 2022, that crowds at Disney World look an awful similar to crowds of 2019 particularly during times when crowds are likely to gather such as during the fireworks, or during peak times throughout the day, in areas that are susceptible to congestion. Although Disney continues to evaluate the capacity of parks in relation to the most recent health and safety standards however, we shouldn’t expect to see the same wide-open paths the ones we saw in the first few months following the park’s were reopened.

The COVID pandemic definitely changed how we dine and this was particularly relevant to Disney World restaurants as well as dining venues. There are a lot of the changes first introduced at the end of summer in 2020 remain in place such as Mobile Order, Mobile Dine Check-In the Mobile Eat Walk-Up Waitlist.
A few dining options which were initially unavailable are now available in the resorts and parks, for example, the buffets.
Buffets have been a regular feature at Disney World in 2021
Character dining that has been modified has been in existence from the time Disney World’s Resort hotels first opened in June of 2020 with Topolino’s Terrace offering a peek of how interaction in a way with Mickey, Minnie, and our most loved Disney characters would appear in the case of a pandemic. Since the time many character dining establishments have been opened, and more recently, guests may now visit these places to take photos from a distance.

This is a major contrast from previous times, where guests were required to remain in their seats while the characters stroll throughout the restaurant for short intervals all day.

And last but not least, we need to discuss what the character greets and meet-and-greets will appear at in 2022! In a world where the need for caution is paramount when it comes to direct contact with others We haven’t had the chance to hold our favorite princess or mouse for a while.
We’re wishing you a happy birthday from afar!
When the parks were first opened the first time, people could be observed in the four parks, but only from at a safe distance. It’s not the case now, but met and greets that have been altered are slowly beginning to appear more “normal.”
Character greetings remain at a far
Visitors aren’t able to meet with characters or sign autographs. However, the character encounters are beginning returning to the park in methods that are more akin to an early-closure meet and meet and greet. For example, guests are now able to meet Mickey Mouse in Town Square Theater located on Main Street, U.S.A. as well as the princesses in Princess Fairytale Hall.
The princesses can now be met in a way that is a little more closely than they did previously!
Disney World has come up with new ways to solve the issue of meeting and greetings that are far away as well as some of our top innovations of the past two years has been witnessing the different ways that characters have appeared within the Disney parks!
